At seventeen, I was asked by a leader to paint a tree for a "Tree of Life" activity she was planning. After prayerful consideration, I saw this as an opportunity to do more than paint a simple tree. I envisioned a young woman putting forth real effort. I saw her striving to the very end and stretching upward to obtain her gift: an oversized fruit symbolizing the huge reward God has in store for us. I could see God's face and His outstretched arms in the tree, reminding us of His overwhelming love. This love makes the atonement of Jesus Christ, the "greatest of all the gifts of God" possible. May this piece inspire you to continue pressing forward.





Chelsea Fuller is from Utah and Idaho, but currently lives in Omaha Nebraska where her husband attends Dental School. They are blessed with a spunky three-year-old boy and a sweet 15-month-old little girl. When she was young Chelsea's parents quickly gave up on tee-ball when she was young since, instead of watching for fly balls, Chelsea preferred to sit on "that white thing" (her name for second base) and study the dandelions. Her work is inspired by symbolism and emotion. "When people view my artwork, I want them to feel like they're in a different place. That they're no longer burdened with the stresses of the world, and that they feel the joy, happiness, and peace I expect we will feel when we are embraced in the arms of our maker."
